joining together to make the world a better and smaller place

There have been a few times in history where the Super Street Fighter II Turbo (ST/2X) communities of Japan and USA met to play against each other. Namely the expedition of Alex Valle, Mike Watson and the like to Japan in 2000 and a few individuals visiting each other's tournaments at USA’s Evolution Champion Ship Series (EVO) and Japan’s Tougeki Super Battle Opera (SBO) during the 2000s. This changed drastically in the 2010s where whole expeditions of players started attending and being invited to each others tournaments, including Europe as the third major scene of the game.

In December 2020, Riz0ne teamed up with Zarghatt and Yogaboy of the European 2X scene to bring the three communities together in a symbolic way. By introducing 2XIT, a camaraderie is built as a series of European online tournaments would be hosted for the American audience with crowdfunding initiatives for Japanese arcades suffering from financial hardships due to COVID-19.

2XIT is the concrete, steel, and stone we needed to build the bridge between our communities, and the lore will give us reach to further destinations.

  • 2XIT #4 is the fourth collaborative tournament between North America and Europe which showcases some of the fiercest competition in Europe for Super Street Fighter II Turbo.

    On 10/10/2021, Riz0ne hosted this tournament alongside Zarghatt, and Yogaboy. All proceeds went to support Amipara arcade in Japan.

    On 12/13/2020, Riz0ne hosted this tournament alongside Zarghatt, Yogaboy, Megaman X and Hokuto. All proceeds went towards Mikado (Europe) and Gamespot Versus (Japan).
